Students from low-income groups have always been suffering from a learning gap caused during the summer months which has to be stopped. Non-profit leaders and school officials of Boston are set to take up the case and find out strategies that can solve the problem. Detachment from studies in the three months is very damaging for the educational careers of these students.

• Access to the Internet can ensure improvement of the writing skills and Math skills as well owing to the host of material available online.
• Making the brain function on the number skills, revising old content and learning new is comparatively easy with a computer. A number of websites are available that help you to learn and revise in a play way method that is friendly and engaging. It also helps in tackling new subjects that are taught in the class after the school reopens.

The long summer months are not to be wasted for the serious student irrespective of educational background. Heading back to school with polished reading and writing skills is a great way to start a year and stay ahead of peers.

Learning and fun

Summer learning programs ensure that students are able to remember and use about 2/3 of what they learn in the entire year. The three-month lag can normally make them forget what they had learned in the rest of the months but joining a program can save you from that. Fun lessons at home also help to brush up what they had learned over the year. For instance, a fun math lesson would be making up a dish using ingredients in fractions. Revising the method of doing a fraction as well as cooking a dish becomes easier.
