5 Reasons Why Books Are Better than E-Books

Feb 11, 2016 | Students

This is such a vitally interesting topic. This idea is attractive to any writer over the age of thirty or any nerd over the age of twenty-two. The technological era, while providing many advantages in the realm of information exchange, has also raped and reamed the realm of real book reading. Such a statement may seem daunting at first, but for those of us who have read thousands of real books while smelling and feeling them, we know the real deal and will never under any circumstances forget how they have contributed to our lives in a fashion which is indistinguishable from the electronic realm. Certainly, there is much to be stated for paper conservation and so on, but real books continue to have the mark of aesthetic readability which e-books shall never have.

E-Books are Virtual

A real pressed book has a distinct feel and quality without question. There is nothing like reading a Charles Dickens novel, heavy in the hands, from cover to cover, in the form of paper, preferably in hardback. This is a level of satisfaction which cannot, by any means of replacement be substituted by a virtual format as provided by an e-book. Get decent book printing quotes before you publish a book of quality. Certainly, with an e-book, you get the same read and information. You get the same story. Basically, you assimilate the same data like a Borg in Star Trek. Yes, it comes down to this sort of data transfer. Ultimately, you are human and you require tactile experience and real books make the experience of reading real books come to a sort of life you simply cannot acquire from a tablet or a laptop. This is simply the way a story hums and any good writer knows this.

Books Are Alive

Alright, books are not literally alive, yet they are literal. E-books are excellent for imparting information. However, when it comes down to story, real books do the jobs much better. Page turning is a simple delight and it feels so much better than swishing a screen! Those among us who have done this for so many years of our lives know this. Try going to a real library, checking out a real book to read and then read it. You shall soon discover the magic. A suggestion would be The Lord of the Rings. This is real book Magic indeed.

E-Books Deliver in Slivers

The primary flaw with electronic books is they deliver information effectively in segmented informational format. They do so much like computer data is delivered. Such information is useful for basic education, but not for living stories. For stories, you need a real book.

Page Turning Pleasure

Ask any elder about reading a good book. They will tell you how fine it is to cuddle up with a good book is one of the finest pleasures in the world. It is like being with a good friend and how you almost don’t want to finish because you have found a companion. This does not happen with e-books.

The Book on the Shelf

One thing which can never be done with an electronic book is collecting it on a shelf. Hard drives fail. Accounts end and you must renew or data corruption occurs. This does not happen with real books. Instead, you collect the books you love on shelves. You look at them and vivid memories arise. What is better than this? Here you have living memories. In a temporary life, such savory things are irreplaceable.
